Alcuni archeologi peruviani hanno svelato di aver trovato una mummia di sesso femminile rinvenuta nel 2004.

I risultati delle loro analisi hanno dimostrato che era un membro d'elite della cultura pre-Incaica : Ichma .

Secondo gli archeologi, la mummia di un 50 anni vecchia, aveva accanto i resti di due bambini ed era sepolta sull' isola di San Lorenzo.

La cultura Ichma si è sviluppata tra 900 dC e il 1500 dC, e ha successivamente aderito alla cultura Inca nel tardo periodo Horizon.

L'rcheologo URIEL GARCIA ha dichiarato: "Questo è il sensazionale, nel senso che questo sito non era abitato, perché a San Lorenzo non c'era acqua. Pertanto, essa deve essere stata una persona molto importante, perché il suo corpo è stato trasportato via mare per raggiungere l'isola a farsi seppellire ".

Mar. 24 - Peruvian archaeologists have unveiled a female mummy unearthed in 2004, thought to be an elite member of the Pre-Incan Ichma culture.

According to archaeologists, the mummy of a 50-year-old woman, discovered next to the remains of two children on San Lorenzo island, was most likely a prominent figure in her society.

The Ichma culture developed between 900 AD and 1500 AD and later joined the Inca empire in the Late Horizon period.
